Before we moved in to our new place, I had a lot of ideas about what I wanted our kitchen to look like. You may remember this mood board
Over the last month, we have been settling in, and I don’t know where the time has gone! This past weekend we went to the National Home Show in Toronto and checked out some inspirational designs and ideas. All thought he price tags were out of our comfort range, we were abe to confirm what our vision for the house is, and confirmed were going in the right direction.
Over the past few weeks we have hung some curtains, unpacked boxes and attempted a few DIYs. We learned quickly that we needed to be flexible when it came to the ideas we had for decorating. It seemed if we like something- it was too expensive, or if something was a great deal- it was too big or small and looked out of place. We are still putting some finishing touches on our kitchen, but here is an updated mood board that reflects how we have adapted our farmhouse kitchen style. One theme remained though, our huge farmhouse table is made for gathering. It makes me happy to think of all the events and dinners that will be shared with family and friends there. Do you want to see some pictures of the kitchen and dining room, let me know!
